Millennium SA, Northwest Indiana's premier soccer development program, is thrilled to announce its acceptance into the National Academy League (NAL), marking a new era for both the club, its players, and Northwest Indiana.
This exciting development brings Millennium SA into a national spotlight, joining an elite group of clubs that offers our players a direct and competitive pathway to MLS Next Tier 2 and MLS Next.
The National Academy League (NAL) has been recognized as one of the premier youth soccer leagues in the United States. It provides talented players an opportunity to compete against some of the country's most competitive and well-established clubs. Beginning at the 13U age group, the league has now partnered with MLS Next to form a new tier of competition in which the NAL operates, opening the doors for even more players to dream of and achieve a future in professional soccer.
We are excited to announce the addition of the National Academy League (NAL) platform to our boys programming beginning the 2025-2026 season!
“We are honored to be accepted into the National Academy League! The NAL will offer our club a prestigious platform where we can regularly engage in meaningful competitions with other like-minded clubs.
Following the recent announcement regarding the formation of MLS Next Tier 2 and the operation of this platform by the National Academy League (NAL), there is now a clear pathway for integrating MLS Next Tier 2 into our club and Northwest Indiana in the near future. The NAL will further the development of our players and provide college exposure as the NAL’s events are held in conjunction with MLS Next & MLS Next Tier 2 clubs.
Aligning ourselves with the highest youth soccer platform in the United States is exciting times for all players in Northwest Indiana. This announcement highlights the club's strategic direction, demonstrating our dedication to excellence, player development, and raising the standard of youth soccer in Northwest Indiana." - Vangel Nacovski, Executive Director & Director of Coaching.
Notable Clubs joining the Mid-America Conference include:
The Mid-America Conference will be split into two divisions: Mid-America North & Mid-America South to reduce travel for all clubs.
The influx of talented teams from across the country ensures the level or competition in the NAL will continue to rise. The addition of these prestigious clubs further solidifies the league's reputation as one of the most competitive youth soccer environments in North America.
Our commitment to developing players & identifying players who can compete at the highest levels will be in full force. With MLS Next, MLS Next Tier 2, and NAL joining forces, the roadmap to success has never been more achievable. This new alliance means that NAL is no longer just a national competition, but also is a stepping stone to MLS Next Tier 2 and MLS Next based on merit and growth.
As the 2025-2026 season approaches, we will be announcing Talent ID Sessions for all boys born 2007 thru 2019.
These Talent ID Sessions will be open to any player from Northwest Indiana or surrounding area that is interested in competing in the National Academy League & USYS National League. Our goal is to identify the best players to fill our NAL & USYS roster spots with the focus on competing to win both leagues to earn promotion to the MLS Next Tier 2.
We encourage interested players in registering for our upcoming Talent ID sessions.
More information will be posted on our website here soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
